FAQ
I. Are the travel expenses included in your packages or covered additionally?
Travel expenses are covered within a 75 mile radius. Travel locations outside the 75 miles will be an added charge.
II. How far will your travel for photoshoots?
I would love to meet you where you are! If you have a family farm or special place on the river, your photos should reflect your connection and I would be happy to make that happen!
III. We want to include our dog in our photos, is that okay?
100% always yes!! Please remember to respect location requirements for leashing your dog and picking up after them. Leave No Trace.
IV. How long does it take to receive my gallery and how will they be delivered?
Standard delivery for all galleries will be 4-6 weeks unless otherwise arranged. There is a small fee for expedited galleries and sneak peaks (please see "Add-Ons" section).
All photos are delivered via an online gallery with a passcode specifically for you. Your gallery will also include a printshop where you can choose to print your photos as cards, in an album or as wall art or prints.
V. Can I customize a photography package to fit my needs?
Absolutely! If you don't see a package that you think best fits your situation please contact me and we can work something out. I’d love to hear what ideas you have and how we can work together to achieve that for you.
VI. I'm graduating and would like pictures at multiple locations on campus, is that okay?
Yes! I keep the location to no more than three specific locations, as long as they are walkable this is 100% doable and included in your package. It requires both time and effort to move from location to location and this shortens the time we have to capture your special moments. If you would like a location in addition to campus please reach out, we can make something happen.
VII. What is a "Scenic Outdoor Location"?
This is a place that is not a neighborhood park, your backyard or a local trail. This is a place with grand overlooks, dramatic backdrops and state or national parks. These places mostly likely require hiking, seasonal timing or permits and require more planning than a casual park photoshoot.
VIII. How do you edit your photos?
I have a very light editing style, I want my photos to feel real and exciting rather than over edited. I have spent countless hours trying different styles and color schemes. Things like cars, signs, people and other things that distract you from the image will be removed as I deem necessary. You also do not need to worry about break outs and fly aways, I have you covered!!
I will not edit your body features or make dramatic changes to the way you look. You are beautiful the way you are and I will not be adding to the growing shame of our personal opinions about ourselves.
IX. How do you feel about AI?
There is a time and place but it largely doesn't need to be in the photography world. You will not see me culling a gallery or editing photos with AI. Everything is done by me!
The only time I will use AI is to remove objects from photos (see previous question). You are paying me for a service that requires time and if I'm having AI "choose the best photos" you not receiving my authentic photography style.
